Research projects SI souls The lift

The edge

Keep the computer off the fence line.

A device out at the perimeter should gather structured data and send it home in a way that belongs to that sensor. The thinking can happen elsewhere.

Three layers

This is the near work, in the order it constrains the hardware. A layer that names a device is unfinished until that device is closed.

Evidence

A result that matters can be chained: a hash, an inscription, or an explicit source. Soft observations stay soft. Nothing gets promoted on atmosphere alone.

Collectors

These are accelerators and collectors. They feed a larger stack and return data by a path of their own. They are not consumer gadgets, and they are not a generic telemetry box with a new shell.

The lift

Beside the edge work is a packable aircraft study. It has its own page, because the constraints are physical. Read the lift.

Thin-IT

Thin-IT is the compound: very little computation and very little stored state on the device, with heavy reasoning offloaded. The sourced picture is 5 V on board and a Grok tunnel. The perimeter does not need a general-purpose computer.

Unfinished. This is a research constraint. It is not a product specification, and no device on this page is shown to meet it.

The living edge

The edge is alive when it collects something dense and brings back something particular. Unique return paths are the point. A dump of ordinary telemetry is the thing this work is trying not to build.

The direction on record reaches further: dense sensing, close enough to a person to matter in a future Neuralink-class world. Unfinished. That is a direction. No such device is shown here.

Before any of this expands into simulating a presence, making high-stakes claims about what a sensor saw, or acting in a way that could affect people, the work gets grounded with someone outside it.

Next: the lift, the other half of the same research.
